Forte LX and EX are powered by a 2.0-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine, producing 156 horsepower and 144 pound-feet of torque, that features Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) and multi-port electronic fuel injection, both of which provide for greater performance and fuel economy. The SX features an upgraded 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine, also with CVVT, which delivers 173 horsepower.With the 2010 Forte, Kia is continuing its makeover that started with the Kia C’eed and has continued with the Soul. No longer content to put out bare-bones, low budget transportation appliances, Kia is moving upscale (relatively speaking) and taking aim squarely at the head of the class; namely, the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

Kia Soul Crossover Concepts Luxury Cars concep

Kia displayed three SOUL Concepts dubbed, Diva, Burner and Searcher at its Geneva Motor Show booth today. The trio of concept cars are closely related to the SOUL production car which will make its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show in October this year. All three concepts were created by Kia's European design team under the guidance of Kia's Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer.

"For Geneva, the Kia design team simultaneously developed three concepts with very different executions to hint at the 'world of possibilities' open to future customers. SOUL Diva, SOUL Burner and SOUL Searcher were envisaged as three equal co-stars at Geneva, members of a team going through an urban adventure together," declared Gregory Guillaume, Chief Designer Kia Motors Europe.
